This doctoral qualification is characterized as a mandatory requirement for the development of the doctoral project in Geology at the University of Brasilia. O This work was supervised by Prof. doctor Tiago Jalowitzki and will have a period sandwich at the University of Tokyo, under the supervision of Prof. doctor Hirochika Sumino. O document is structured in 7 chapters and includes the applied methodology, data and interpretations obtained so far in the development of the thesis. The heterogeneities mantles in the subcontinental lithospheric mantle under the southwest São Francisco Craton will be addressed through the petrographic, mineral and isotopic chemistry study of a diverse suite of mantle xenoliths.
