SUMMARY:

This work presents a practical investigation of the services that can be made available with the 4G/LTE technology for the benefit of National Defense bodies, including the Armed Forces and Published Security Agency. In this sense, a study was carried out and presented regarding the specific characteristics of cellular services for public safety. Features like security and continuity. In this context, it was also analyzed which functionalities would be possible be implemented by 4G/LTE technology. On the other hand, the integration of these technologies existing systems, verifying the possibilities of coexistence between the systems. Furthermore, a case study was carried out to verify the possibility of installing a broadband structure for use by Public Safety Agencies based on the implementation carried out in the United States. Finally, tests were carried out with the Army's private 4G cell phone systems with the objective of collecting data for the conclusion of this work. These results showed an excellent performance from the point of view of meeting the demands of the Armed Forces in terms of security, reliability and continuity.
