Currently, there is a worrying global scenario regarding the environment, because, previously considered infinite, the avaliable resources are increasingly scarce. In this area, photovoltaic systems stand out, capable of producing electrical energy from the Sun, a renewable and sustainable source of energy. In this context, this academic work is found, in order to contribute to today’s society, by carrying out a broad technical-economic analysis of a photovoltaic system installed in a prominent public institution of education, in line with the indices used in the current literature, as well as comparing it with other similar systems. It is a system inaugurated in 2019, consisting of 450 photovoltaic modules, with a nominal power of 150kWp, installed at the Faculty of Technology of the University of Brasília. In addition, a computational simulation of this plant is carried out, using the System Advisor Model - SAM software, in order to verify the theoretical performance of the system, and compare it with the actual performance measured, evaluating discrepancies from the perspective of the analysis of sources of damage and loss, whether due to externalities or other technical issues. In addition, the parameters of quality of electric energy presented by this system, measured in the place of the installation, in accordance with the requirements established by the current regulations. Lastly, considering the technical and economic variables that guide the area of photovoltaic solar energy, a Maintenance, Operation and Control Plan is proposed, to be applied to these systems, in order to collaborate with predictive and preventive maintenance routines that allow the prediction and identification of failures in adequate time for due action.
