INNOVATIVE ORGANIZATIONAL PRACTICES: A CASE STUDY OF SERVICES OFFERED BY THE MICRO AND SMALL BUSINESS SUPPORT SERVICE (SEBRAE) IN THE BIOGAS THEME.

In a context of climate change and energy transition, the adoption of initiatives to offer innovative organizational practices by the Brazilian Service of Support to Micro and Small Enterprises (SEBRAE), for the small business that uses biogas, constitutes a proposal that will help in the insertion in increasingly competitive markets? The objective of this research project is to evaluate the innovative organizational practices currently adopted by SEBRAE and contextualize them for the biogas segment. The Energy Program for Brazil – BEP, a result of the Brazil-UK partnership and supported by Empresa de Pesquisa Energética – EPE, identified barriers and recommendations for the development of biogas in the country. SEBRAE, as an inducing agent for the development of small businesses and the improvement of the Brazilian business environment, can be a relevant actor and collaborate in overcoming such barriers. This qualification project details that the object of the research is to present a theoretical framework that addresses innovative initiatives for small business and their role in the insertion of competitive markets; carry out a survey of innovative organizational practices implemented by SEBRAE in the energy segment; prepare a matrix to identify SEBRAE's activities on the energy issue in the different organizational units of the institution, mapping their respective objectives and missions, and their contributions to energy; and, carry out a case study at SEBRAE to identify organizational practices focused on the biogas theme. A case study and documentary research will be carried out.
