INNOVATION AND ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGIES: USE AND DEVELOPMENT OF A MOBILE APP AS A TOOL FOR EDUCATIONAL, CULTURAL AND DIGITAL INCLUSION OF THE DEAF

The social, cultural and digital inclusion of people with hearing limitations, hearing impairments and deaf people is a major challenge for society. The present study seeks to propose an alternative for this audience, which deals with the creation and development of an educational mobile app, based on analysis of the theme addressed by technological tools currently existing in the market. In this context, the aim of this work was to propose and develop a mobile app as an educational tool to aid the learning of the deaf. The study was characterized as an applied research, adopting a qualitative approach. Using procedures of documental and bibliographic research, technological prospection of patents, computer programs and analysis of existing mobile apps in the market, the development of the functional requirements of the system and the initial script of the mobile app was carried out. Finally, from the carried out analysis, the expected result of this research is the development of a mobile app prototype designed for the preparation of deaf people for public selections, with, cultural and educational content.
