SUMMARY:

The social, cultural and digital inclusion of people with hearing limitations, hearing impairments and deaf people is a major challenge for society. The present study seeks to propose an alternative for this audience, which deals with the creation and development of an educational mobile app, based on analysis of the theme addressed by technological tools currently existing in the market. In this context, the aim of this work was to realize a technological forecasting on assistive educational technologies for deaf students, presenting an overview of these technologies on the national and international scene, and then propose and develop a mobile app as an educational tool to aid the learning of these deaf students. The study was characterized as applied research, adopting a qualitative and quantitative approach. As a methodology, the data sources Questel Orbit Intelligence® and INPI databases were used as tools to obtain patents related to the research theme. It was observed that, in the past 10 years, only 4 licenses have been registered in Brazil, while in the international scene, India and China are highlighted above all by more than a half of the registration documents of the world. These data show the need for greater investments in this area, given that the evolution of assistive technologies in the country and abroad does not accompany the need of this community, and is not proportional to the growing number of people diagnosed as deaf in Brazil and in the world. Finally, based on the carried out analyses, the result of this research was the development of a mobile app designed for the preparation of deaf student for public selections, with, cultural and educational content.
