Strategic Alliances for EMBRAPA in Agribusiness Innovation Environments: a look at the Amazon.
Innovation Environments; Strategic Partnerships, Research Projects, Amazon Region.
The Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovations and Communications (MCTIC) prepared a Master Plan for the Promotion of Technological Innovation for the years 2018 to 2022, defining a set of priority actions and goals with the efforts of the National Science, Technology, and Innovation System (SNCTI). The Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa), linked to the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA), belonging to the SNCTI, established new guidelines in the execution of its macro programs, aligning internal activities with public policies established by the Federal Government to increase the number of innovative companies with national capital, increase research, development and innovation (RD&I) activities in Brazilian companies and promote greater interaction between them and other actors. This work will carry out document analysis, on Federal Government sites, on the Radar Agtech site, on the MAPA site on agribusiness innovation environments to identify and analyze aspects involving the creation, development, and results that an innovation environment provides for a region. The objective of this proposal is to gather important information on this topic to help Embrapa's Business area, to attract, negotiate and formalize better partnerships for the development of research projects in its portfolio: Amazon, obtaining relevant results for the company and the region; analyze and evaluate partnerships with Startups that add value to Embrapa, both in the economic and social aspects, that is, generation of social development. And, in addition, to identify and analyze the national Agribusiness Startups located in the Amazon region, called Agtechs, considering the nomenclature and methodology used by the Radar Agtechs website for classification, to identify relevant characteristics of these entities, and attraction for the celebration of partnerships with Embrapa. The results of this research may help the Embrapa Business Area, the Decentralized Units in the northern region, and/or other areas, such as the marketing and communication area, to capture and form partnerships with innovation environments in the Amazon region, with the aim of to create alliances with these innovation environments and Embrapa.
