Solutions for a class of semilinear elliptic equations with undefined nonlinearity

In this work, we study the existence of positive solutions for a class of semilinear elliptic equations with indefinite nonlinearity. More specifically, based on the article by Alama and Tarantello (1993), we study the problem where Ω is a bounded domain of , N ≥ 3, λ and γ are real parameters, W ∊ (Ω) is a function that changes sign in Ω and f ∊ (). With the aid of variational techniques and a bifurcation theorem, we establish the existence, non- existence and multiplicity of positive solutions to the above problem, as a function of the parameter λ.
