SUMMARY:

With the advent of nanotechnology and the development of relatively simple nanostructure synthesis techniques and methodologies, the development of two-dimensional (2D) nanostructured materials has been extensively explored in recent years. Among the materials that aroused interest for research and applications in nanoelectronics we can highlight molybdenum disulfide (MoS2). Although extensively studied in the last decade due to its great technological potential, many of the physical properties of the MoS2 monolayers are not yet completely understood and have key differences due to the synthesis method. Characterizing this material properties is extremely important for technological developments and optimizing their existing properties. This project aims to prepare MoS2 nanoparticles doped with copper (Cu) using the liquid phase exfoliation (EFL) technique to characterize the nanoparticles structurally using Raman spectroscopy and, subsequently, use thin films of this material in MOS capacitors for electrical characterization using the flat band shift technique.
