SUMMARY:

The materialization of protective coexistence of children, adolescents and their families takes place in a social construction of different macro and micro social levels involving the socio-historical context and the territories where people live, family relationships and institutional and/or state actions. The creation of spaces for protective coexistence can be one of the ways to face and prevent countless forms of lack of protection in the affective-relational field. Thus, one of the roles of the Social Assistance Policy is to prevent insecurities of coexistence with actions that contribute to the strengthening of affective and social bonds, in the family and community context and citizenship bonds with the guarantee of safe reception. This research aims to develop a group intervention methodology for the prevention of relational vulnerabilities and the promotion of protective coexistence of children, adolescents and their families. The research takes place in units of the Unified Social Assistance System (SUAS) in the Federal District and is developed in three stages. The first consists of identifying experiences of relational protection and lack of protection based on the literature and the view of SUAS professionals and the assisted families. The second and third stages refer to the development of an intervention focused on protective coexistence in two modalities: online groups, with a parental focus; and a face-to-face group, with a multifamily focus, with the participation of children, adolescents and their families. Qualitative and participatory methodological designs are proposed, using interviews and intervention research. The results achieved throughout the process will be analyzed according to the thematic analysis methodology. It is expected that the understanding of processes of relational lack of protection and the development of interventions, with a focus on protective coexistence, will be tools for social work with families and for the prevention of insecure coexistence, as well as subsidize social policies for the expansion of protective actions in family and social relationships.
