SUMMARY:

Freud accesses the western mythologies, which will also be engaged by Lacan and many others who succeed them, still remaining absent, at present, the manifestation of the interest of psychoanalysts in the indigenous mythical narratives forged on Brazilian soil, and their recognition as a symbolic field that permeates the constitution of subjectivities and the affective-sexual bonds established in this time and place. Aiming to contribute to this field, this thesis reviews the paths of the mythical reference found in the Freudian-Lacanian text on love, while advancing in the structural analysis of the myths presented in the book “The first star I see is the star of my desire and other indigenous stories of love” by Daniel Munduruku. Configuring itself as an inventive dialogue based on Freudian-Lacanian psychoanalysis, it proposes to contribute to the theoretical development of love and love life, restoring the poetic and political potential of non-hegemonic narratives and their meanings. Therefore, this thesis argues that the mythical literature of indigenous peoples is capable of enriching Brazilian psychoanalysis, as a living epistemic foundation that grants originality to the theory and, in this case, provides the conditions for formulating a mythical structure on love, also presented as a mythical formula - Fy-(i)I: Fx-(S) → Fx(R):Fy(D)I.
