The objective of this study is to understand to what extent a work around children's books on subjects related to immigration, plurilingualism and multiculturalism can bring out the debate and the valorization of languages and cultures and initiate a path towards the development of intercultural competence for children of the first cycle. In order to achieve this objective, the training of school teachers is an essential step and one to which we have given an important place in the project, starting from the training engineering. In addition, we have constructed pedagogical sequences based on four children's albums. First of all, we will be interested in the context of immigration in France, plurilingualism, multiculturality and intercultural competence. Then we move on to the characteristics of the album book and its potential for use in the classroom. Finally, we explore the training engineering and the pedagogical approach of the Tree of Learning and the time planning (Trocmé-Fabre, 1996, 1999) for the creation of the proposal and its implementation.
