Reflections from literary reading workshops in high school in Manacapuru-AM.
Literature teaching in Amazonas. Reader formation. Literary workshop.
This study aims to discuss aspects related to the teaching of literature in high school, based on the experience of literary workshops conducted with 3rd-year students from two schools in the Amazonas state education system, in the municipality of Manacapuru. With a constant concern about how literature happens in school, our research method was a qualitative approach that used bibliographic and documentary research, field research with observation of literature classes, and the implementation of workshops using the linear method of reading literary texts. Considering the importance of literature as a cultural expression and focusing on the formative need of literary texts for the human subject, we relied on authors such as Bakhtin, Barthes, Woolf, Manguel, Chartier, Cândido, Todorov, Lajolo, Zilberman, Fischer, Dalvi, among others, who assisted in these discussions. Regulatory documents regarding the teaching of Portuguese language/literature, such as BNCC, PCN, and the LP Teaching Plan of the Amazonas state, also contributed to the direction of this study, which aims to contribute to the dialogue on the teaching of literature in Amazonas.
