SUMMARY:

Introduction: Cervical cancer is a global public health problem, particularly in less developed countries, given the magnitude of the problem. It currently ranks seventh in the world, being the fourth most common type in the female population. In Brazil, this type of cancer ranks third among the female population. Observing its spatial distribution in the country, it is possible to identify that the highest incidences are found in regions that have the worst socioeconomic conditions and greater difficulty in accessing health services. The objective of this study is to evaluate the implementation of new strategies to combat cervical cancer in the SUS in the vulnerable contexts of two Brazilian capitals, considering the international and national context and user satisfaction. Methods: The analysis of the international context was carried out based on a systematic review. Regarding evaluative research, it was divided into three stages: description of the context, evaluability study and implementation analysis. Preliminary results: The systematic review demonstrated that Brazil, in relation to Latin American countries, presents some divergences in relation to the organization of cervical cancer control strategies, however there is a similarity in relation to the difficulty in reducing the incidence and mortality from the disease. When compared to countries in the more developed bloc, there is a big difference in the adoption of network organization due to the use of tracking, organization and adoption of tracking and prevention strategies through HPV vaccination, which leads Brazil to present a performance in control. lower CCU than Canada, England and Australia. Conclusion: Brazil has a universal health system that can enhance cervical control, but there is a need to reorganize current strategies (tracking and vaccination), as well as the treatment of precursor lesions so that we can achieve the goal of eliminating CC. proposed by PAHO.
