THE POLITICAL PERFORMANCE OF BLACK JUDGES IN DEFENSE OF RACIAL EQUALITY: AN ANALYSIS OF ENAJUN'S EXPERIENCE

The general objective of this thesis is to analyze the political action of black - male and female - magistrates in defense of racial equality in the Judiciary taking into consideration the National Meeting of Black Male and Female Judges - ENAJUN. The research seeks to understand the forms of organization of black judges in the light of the following categories: social movement and institutional activism. It aims at to comprehending the views of these professionals about the Judiciary, using the methodology of situated knowledge, which allows to gather new ways of understanding the analyzed phenomena from the personal trajectory and professional experience of the people involved. To accomplish these objectives, the research will be carried out with the application of semi-directive interviews with the magistrates who actively take part in ENAJUN.
