SUMMARY:

This project is linked to Line of Research 1 - "Education in and for Human Rights and Citizenship" of the Graduate Program in Human Rights and Citizenship (PPGDH) at the University of Brasília (UnB), and approved by the Ethics Committee in Research in Human and Social Sciences at the University of Brasília under presentation certificate of ethical appreciation number 676559423.0.0000.5540. Preliminarily, the research will have the power to identify the training in education and human rights (HRE) of teachers in the public school system in the Federal District: a case study of Escola Classe nº 64 in Ceilândia. Therefore, the research will be based on the main normative instruments that govern EDH, which are: the National Plan on Education and Human Rights (PNEDH, 2006) and the National Guidelines for Education in Human Rights (DNEDH, 2012). The research, once approved, will lend itself to understanding how training in EDH and the pedagogical practice of teachers takes place. In addition to the EDH methodological conception itself, which will be assumed as a reference for the analysis, the research will develop qualitative and quantitative theoretical discussions based on authors in the fields of EDH, human rights and pedagogy, following a semi-structured and previously approved script of interviews with ten teachers, in order to achieve the context of training and pedagogical practice in EDH. We will also observe the historicity of the school involving an institutional, social, political, economic and cultural context where it is located; and finally, we will relate the theory with the educational praxis and the objective and subjective dimensions of the school reality, centered on historical subjects – teachers.
