SUMMARY:
The research focuses on the right of children in institutional and family care to their own life story, from a subjective perspective of identity constitution, based on the promotion and protection of human rights. The problem is linked to the fragility or absence of public policies that contribute to preserving the memory and life story of the child who was removed from their family. In addition to the reasons for reception, it is essential that the child has support from the State to preserve the right to origins and life history before and during the period of reception from a cultural, affective, historical and human perspective. The research will be carried out using a constructive-interpretive methodology, based on the Qualitative Epistemology of González Rey. The aim is to carry out the research in an institutional care service and in a family care service in the Federal District with the participation of children who are sheltered and of adults who work in these protection services. In addition to the reception services, there is an intention to carry out conversational dialogues with adults who work in other spaces of the protection network in Brazil and who are in contact with or prepare records about the life stories of children who are in foster care (professionals from the justice system, social assistance professionals, managers of institutional shelters and foster family services in Brazil). Furthermore, the intention is to count on the participation of adults who have been removed from institutional or family care, as well as people who have been adopted and who are discussing the rights of former and adopted people. When conducting research with children, playful instruments of the constructive-interpretive methodology will be used. The aim is to carry out conversational dynamics based on reading circles, music circles, play circles, painting circles, artistic creation circles, storytelling circles, theater circles with puppets, experiences and workshops in which children can self-represent and express yourself through art, written and unwritten records, with the power of self-narrative. The research with adult participants will take place in person and/or through a virtual/digital environment with constructive-interpretive methodology instruments such as, for example, conversational dynamics, dialogue circles, sentence completion technique. The research aims to contribute to the discussion on the protection of the intangible right to biographical dignity in dialogue with subjective development and the life project, especially of children who are in the context of institutional and family care.
