Hunger as a subject of the field of studies in public policies: between epistemological and evaluative challenges, a new research agenda
Hunger, Public Policies, Affections, Social Action
Hunger is a common research subject in different knowledge areas, gaining prominence mainly in Sociology when its naturalness in human society is questioned. However, so many approaches to the same problem also bring different definitions, causal relations and social repercussions, opening up a vast horizon of studies on the same subject. In the field of Public Policies, however, the problem of hunger is still tangentially explored, reduced to the macro dimension of the problem, with few works focused on individuals and the harmful effects on affections, social interaction, and their reflexivity. This work will carry out a bibliographical review on the existing concepts of hunger, focusing on an intersectional investigation of the problem, also exploring social action as a means of coping with the problem and its effects on the affected groups.
