Received his BA, MA/MRes and PhD in International Relations from the University of Brasilia (UnB), where he also attended the BS in Economics. He was assistant professor (tenured) in the field of International Political Economy at the Faculty of Law and International Relations of the Federal University of Grande Dourados (UFGD). He served in the Department of Economics and Finance at the Brazilian Embassy in Washington DC assisting on bilateral and multilateral trade themes and trade remedies. Currently, he researches in the fields of trade and international cooperation/development/integration and is head of the Supervision of RDI International Cooperation (SCI) at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (EMBRAPA). He has academic and professional experience in political economy, trade, cooperation, development, project/programme management and international negotiations.
