"Contributions of SpongeBob SquarePants Animation to the Teaching of Invertebrate Zoology".

Generations Z and Alpha, born in the digital age, have a different profile from previous generations: they are immediate, anxious and require faster responses. Therefore, capturing and maintaining their interest requires different strategies, especially in science teaching and biology, the focus of this work. Thus, it was decided to promote the learning of students in the 2nd grade of high school by having as facilitator the animation SpongeBob Square Pants, considering it as an element of the student’s daily life and endowed with emotional appeal and based on this premise, develop an investigative didactic sequence. The sequence elaborated proposed an alternative to the expositive classes of Invertebrate Zoology. It was constituted of two stages employing simple and practical activities and the use of images in the form of cards to give playfulness and to promote the interest of the student.
