SUMMARY:

This project is part of Mycology, an area of Biology that studies fungi, in the context of Young and Adult Education (EJA). "This theme, little addressed, or presented in a punctual, fragmented way and in a few pages of textbooks or even, as an "appendix" of Botany" (SILVA; SANTOS; RODRIGUES; GUIMARÃES, 2019). The proposal would be to elaborate an investigative didactic sequence (SDI) where the diversity of fungi existing in nature will be approached, with the analysis of material collected in the field, showing its morphology, way of life, its ecological importance, in industry, in medicine , in addition to the application of these organisms in biotechnology. Finally, an experiment on enzymatic activity (alpha amylase production) by the species Saccharomyces cerevisae modified by the recombinant DNA technique.
