SUMMARY:

We studied the nonautonomous and non periodic Schrödinger equation with asymptotic growth $-\div(\xi(x) u) +
V(x)u$, in R^N. We demonstrated the existence of positive solutions and solutions that change sign when the
potentials $\xi$ and $V$ are positive. When the potential $V$ changes sign and $\xi$ is positive, we showed the
existence of positive solutions. We used the Mountain Pass Theorem and the Linking Theorem to obtain such
solutions.
