How literature can bring out feelings and empathy for the comprehension of the other and of yourself
literature, empathy, immigrants, associations, initial formation.
Literature has a transformative role in society, because through different representations, it helps individuals understand and be in touch with their own feelings and also with the feelings of others. The associations that receive immigrants in France can benefit from literature to integrate this public, leading them to understand the feelings that are part of this immigration process and empowering them through their own stories. Therefore, we developed a formation with the book "Là où vont nos péres" by Shaun Tan, with the purpose of verifying how literature brings out feelings and contributes to the understanding of the individual in an immigratory situation, as well as contributes to the creation of empathy between the formator and the immigrants.
